For the past year, the Art-Ki Traditional Roman Academy found its home at the “Taikenkan” dojo, located at the Monastery of St. Vincent in Bassano Romano, a welcoming and serene place where the various academic activities take place.
The Silvestrine friars – with whom we entertain a pleasant and friendly closeness – have, to our surprise, their main headquarters in Rome, at the Church of S. Stefano del Cacco. That place, so dear to the headmaster of the Academy, was built by Pope Paschal I on ancient and noble foundations where the Iseum Campense was.
One of the friars of the monastery, Father Cleto, for a long time used to be prior of the latter. He informed us that over the years he had personally carried out intensive research concerning the Church and the complex of the Iseum Campense, which ultimately peaked in the publication of his book dedicated to that subject.
After a friendly exchange of views on these issues with the Dean of the Academy, Father Cleto presented the latter with a copy of the book signed by himself.
Thus was born a sincere friendship, accompanied by mutual esteem, thanks to which Father Cleto invited all members of the Academy to visit the church and the entire underground complex in his company.
The Academy is alive but above all ENERGY FLOWS, as Dr. Procesi would have liked.
