On May 24, 25, and 26, the Traditional Roman Academy traveled to Düsseldorf, as guest of 6th dan Kyoshi Shige Kameo. We gleefully took part in this three-day seminar, with the aim to pursue Kyūdō practice and deepening our knowledge of the latter. The three intense days provided an opportunity to discuss both technical aspects, such as shooting and maintenance, as well as deeper and more attitudinal aspects concerning the practice of Kyūdō
In addition to the hours spent on the dojo, chance, or rather luck, ensured that the Academy’s visit coincided with the final weekend of the week dedicated to Japan, organized by the Japanese community living in Düsseldorf, which is currently the largest in Europe.
The moments spent in such a lively and unexpected atmosphere were special, and they culminated in a breathtaking fireworks display: for thirty consecutive minutes of fireworks illuminated the night on the Rhine, closing as best they could a trip that is already etched in the memory of Art-Ki.
Special thanks to Sensei Shige Kameo for the commitment and dedication expressed during these special days.
